Since the company is evaluating selling off parts of the company (broadcasting, theme parks, movies, etc) I would hold off on spending any money with them.
Like @OldPlayer said, they are looking to shed some stuff, and the ESPN thing has been probably the most talked about in recent months... A few weeks ago, Apple was rumored to be the front runner to buy it up... I think it’ll come down to Amazon and Apple, and basically a bidding war. Disney still wants partial ownership, but they want a vehicle that can expand the audience of the product. Amazon has done ok with the NFL, Apple has done well with MLB, in terms of live sports.
I have it because my job pays for it and most of Troy's game end up streaming on there. It's awful. Live streaming on ESPN+ has always sucked. Disney has been bleeding money on ESPN+ and I have no idea why Amazon would even think this would possibly be a good idea. Amazon is one of the few streaming services that isn't bleeding money left and right and it's primarily because we all want free shipping and not because of their amazing Amazon Prime exclusives (granted they do have some good shows on there). Adding another $20-30 onto that $20 price point it already has is a death sentence.

I've never understood why they have horrible streaming quality and reliability, other than trying to cram as many commercials into it. For me, the commercials stream well, and then the content freezes.
Disney wants inside kids' minds, psychologically and ideologically. Amazon wants inside adults' minds, literally and neurologically. The more diversified these behemeths grow, the more dangerous they become. We can either assist them or not.
