Hubbard didn't turn his shoulder and leverage the play harder. Lawson was slow reacting to the play. DE should be reacting to RB while Lawson should be reacting to RB.


secondary issue. No efforts in stopping the plays and poor tackling. I don't understand why Secondary didn't react. it looks like they were hesistant on that play.

I was thinking ‘SWARM’ is not an accurate description of the style of defense I’m seeing from Wommack. Maybe some of the wordsmiths on the board can help him rebrand it. I was thinking something along the lines of ‘LAG’ or ‘MEANDER’. Any thoughts?

The conversation should be more about the scheme and the issues Womack is having with it. Honestly, it's not the scheme. It's the issue of alignment.. and adjustmsnt Womack has.

DE should be reacting to the QB, that's his assignment here. He's the edge and has to set it. He got sucked inside by the fake, easy read for the QB to pull it and run.

That's basically what I said...If they are slow in ANY WAY...It's a habit that will take a very long time to break... Until they can get that out of their systems, it's a terminal problem..
