- The Alabama Crimson Tide rolled over the 15th ranked Florida Gators 54-16 in the SEC Championship game
- It is the 3rd straight year that the Crimson Tide has won the SEC Championship…
- ...and will be the third year in a row that they make it to the College Football Playoffs. The only team to make it every year
- Sophomore Running Back Bo Scarbrough capped off a great day for Alabama Football and ended with 2 Touchdowns and 91 rushing yards on just 11 carries
- Although Freshman QB Jalen Hurts completed just 11-of-20 of his passes for 138 yards, the running game made up for it with 234 yards on the ground
- Alabama is set to go up against the Washington Huskies in the first round of the College Playoff at the Peach Bowl on December 31st as the top ranked team
- Provided they beat the Huskies, it will be the 5th time since 2009 that Nick Saban has led the Crimson Tide to the National Championship game
