We just completed a major hurdle. Ole Miss has a solid defense, ours was better. We have a tough schedule left, but this game was a solid statement that will make opposing teams offense really have to second guess their strategy. I like our chances right now.

I hate it that we didn't put it in the end zone that much, but I beleve Coach Saban realized that scoring field goals was enough, with the way our D was playing. Tiffin was dead on, and in my opinion needed that work out.

Next hurdle South Carolina.

(1) Bama won
(2) They more than covered the spread surprising many folks including myself who expected a much closer game
(3) Bama sustained no injuries
(4) They remain undefeated

I don't know whether the ineffectiveness of the O was due to play calling, GMac having an off day, the Ole Miss D, some combo of the above .... but in light of 1 - 4 above, it doesn't matter much.

I was just looking at the schedule again - do you realize that the next road game isn't until Bama goes to West Opelika? That's a helluva homestand!

I was working today and had to listen. Let me tell you, I was pissed about not getting in the endzone. I really, really wanted to whip Ole Miss. I was mad that we kept forcing it to Julio in double coverage. I was mad that our offensive line couldn't get us in the endzone with the run inside the 5 yard line.

Then I sit down and realized, as bad as we played, we went on the road against Ole Miss and leave with a 19 point victory. I was much more satisfied last week. That was an 18 point victory.

I'm still upset with our redzone running game, but I'm not going to sit here in a bad mood all night because we only beat Ole Miss on the road by 19 points.

Roll Tide!!!
