Alabama comes in with a record at 5-5 to take on the Xavier Musketeers at 8-3. In order for Alabama to get into the tournament, they must win games like these to impress the selection committee come March. Alabama has a strong RPI and has had competitive games versus everyone of them, but still has 0 wins versus top quality opponents.

Nearly dead even across the board. One thing we got going for us is that they have yet to win a game on the road. I don't expect Coleman to be lively or sold out, but I do expect a good crowd (maybe around 11,000). One thing Alabama has got to do better in this game is start fouling the opposing team more. In our losses to Drexel, Duke, Wichita State, and Oklahoma, their total FT attempts were 112 (making 93 of those) compared to Alabama's 96 FT attempts (37 of those came against Drexel in a 3 OT game, and Alabama has made only 67 of those FT's). In every one of those games too, we were out rebounded. And as it sits right now, Xavier is 77th in the nation in rebounds, Alabama sits at 152nd.

We get killed on the offensive boards and lose by three. It is like our big guys never learned about blocking out. We were up by twelve with sixteen minutes left. Only twenty of thirty from foul line. Very frustrating.

I listened from the radio. Christ Stewart sounded as frustrated as I did. So sick and tired of seeing the team blow leads. I about kicked my chair in last night listening to us. 12 point lead, Xavier in foul trouble, and they couldn't make a damn shot if someone pointed a gun at them. Unfreakingbelievable. Master of implosions. I have a million things to say about this game, but I'll just leave it that Grant has lost the fans and up next is his team. Settling for mediocrity again. P-a-t-h-e-t-i-c

Raider, we were watching the game last night talking about the very same thing. CMG looked downright miserable his last year, and watching him coach the last couple of years he smiles sometimes. I know what you're saying though, about the performance the last couple of years under CMG. Wouldn't it be something if the Tide could get it together and win out. Sorry, I dozed off there for a second. What did I type?
