🏈 Alabama still No. 1, collects vast majority of 1st-place votes in Associated Press top 25

Cleveland.com's Doug Lesmeresis helped contribute to the Crimson Tide's drop in voter points. He moved Alabama from No. 3 to No. 5 on his ballot. The Ohio State beat writer has Clemson at No. 1, Miami (Fla.) at No. 2, Michigan at No. 3 and LSU at No. 4. He also ranks Texas A&M at No. 14.

"Alabama plays at Texas A&M on Saturday, and there is a very good chance the winner of that game could be my new No. 1 next week," Lesmeresis wrote. "Right now, with what has been shown on the field, I think Clemson, Miami, Michigan and LSU have done more than Nick Saban's crew."

The two other voters
who did not have Alabama at No. 1 put the Crimson Tide at No. 2.
