Alabama stayed right where it has been since the end of last season -- No. 1. The Crimson Tide defeated Arkansas, 65-31, on Saturday in Fayetteville.

After another convincing victory, Alabama remained affixed atop the Amway Coaches poll.

The Crimson Tide, which is 6-0 heading into Week 7, didn't budge from the No. 1 spot following its 65-31 rout of the Razorbacks.

There wasn't much movement behind Alabama either.

Georgia was second, Ohio State third and Clemson fourth -- just like last week. Yet just behind that pack of heavyweights was Notre Dame, which climbed two spots to No. 5 after defeating Virginia Tech.

The Tide, which has been No. 1 since the end of last season, faces Missouri at Bryant-Denny Stadium next Saturday at 6 p.m.
