Kind of early for recruiting rankings, but hey, things are slow.

Yes, it's only May. Yes, national signing day is nine months away.
But with offers going out earlier and earlier, and with some prospects committing earlier, it's apparently not too soon for an early stab at 2014 team recruiting rankings.
The National Football Postreleased its rankings this week, with Michigan at the top of the list. Four of the Wolverines' nine commitments are from four-star players, according to Rivals.com -- including Drake Harris of Grand Rapids, the fourth-rated receiver in the nation.
Five SEC teams are in the top 10, led by LSU at No. 2 -- with NFP noting that Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College receiver D'haquille Williams was "a huge get." Alabama is fifth of those five, coming in at No. 9 behind Texas A&M (5), Florida (6) and Tennessee (7).
Of Alabama's class, NFP wrote:
The Crimson Tide will likely shoot up these rankings by the time National Signing Day rolls around next February, but for now Nick Saban and his staff sit at No. 9. In-state linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton was a very good recent pick-up, and he'll join one of the country's top running backs Bo Scarbrough, who was the first member of the 2014 class when he committed last September. Georgia teammates Kalvaraz Bessent and Chris Williams are very good defensive backs.
