Florida nosed Alabama by a fraction of a point, scoring a 197.775 to Alabama's 197.750. Auburn was fourth at 196.975 with LSU third at 197.500.

The championship came down to the final competitor. Gator Bridgette Caquatto needed a 9.850 on the floor and she got a 9.875. It took several minutes for the score to be announced, leading to obviously tense moments in North Little Rock, Ark.
