🏀 Alabama Men’s Basketball Welcomes No. 23/23 Florida Tuesday Night for SEC Showdown

That's clever.

It was about 9 to 11 mark left and Bama's up ... single digits, something like five or six points ... I happened to glance at the box score to see what was going on with the FT's. As I recall they were shooting around 25% at that point. They did improve finishing at .500 from the line.

.500 from the line. SMDH.

Still, I'm of the opinion we're seeing a better team at this point of the season than we saw last year at this time. In some areas, better than what we've seen in a few years.

Rick Barry's kid if I'm not mistaken.
We out rebounded them 37 to 30. Ingram had 7 turnovers and Key had 24 points. Hall fouling out hurt us down the stretch. Clean up the main ball handlers turnovers and everyone else play at a consistent (preferably good) level and we may be on to something.

I'm seeing that as well. The addition of Petty and Sexton next season should round out this group and give a little more depth.

More than once this year I've wondered what this team would be like with Retin at 1.

Can't believe we imploded with six minutes left, but that seems to be the issue the last two years. I don't know if it's depth, mental focus, or consistency issues, but we have a solid team, we just need to know how to win.

No doubt. Retin handling the ball with Ingram as his Padawan would have made a lot smoother transition this year and next season too. :-)

Does a team have to finish .500 to play in the NIT? That's not a knock, but by then the Tide could make a serious run in that tourney. That would seriously help the program and AJ.

CAJ will make improvements with the Tide basketball team but he is going to need time. The cupboard was pretty bare IMO when he came in. He has some kids playing this season that he recruited or transferred in but the proof will be in the pudding next season. He has some top flight talent that will contribute next year. All I want to see is some steady improvement and hopefully make the NIT as a high seed or if things really click, the NCAA. The NIT is more realistic IMO.
