Sexton said, āFirst half I had to come out and pick my spots, because Iād never seen that (type) defense before. It was the first time, so I got my teammates involved.
āIn the second half, Coach (Johnson) just told me to score the ball and make the right decisions.ā
A note I found sort of ironic...last RD1 win for Bama in the tournament was against Marquette...then coached by Tom Crean who's reportedly headed to Athens.
You may not want to look at the BPI projections for a Bama win against 'Nova tomorrow.
It's at 6.8% this morning.
'Nova with two guards that are juniors and a sophomore. It's guard play in this game...can't escape that feeling.
You guys see Gregg Marshall's team sitting down there?
There's two thoughts that crossed my mind as well. I can only guess that he mean they hadn't seen that type of defense from VT on film. Strange comment in the way he worded it...from an intelligent kid, ya know?
