| FTBL Alabama meets with NCAA today in Indianapolis

Not to split hairs, but accusing a group of fans of a particular school of being demoniac (even though I am not really sure that is a word) is no better than accusing someone of being a member of NAMBLA.

Or were you just referring to a certain segment of the fanbase?

Really? No better? Demons aren't real. Furthermore, of the plethora of imaginary demons out there many are considered good, not evil. NAMBLA on the other hand is not only real, it is without question evil. It's at least a little better to be called a demon rather than a child molester wouldn't you agree?

Man! I've been so busy at work that I haven't gotten to post very much this week. I'm glad I made it back in time for this thread! All that I can say is this: If an Agnostic teams up with an Ordained Minister to go against you, you gotta be in the wrong! :D

Aye-men-AH!
Not to change the subject, but has anyone heard anything? I thought the NZAA was going to make somewhat of a "ruling" "before the LSU game".
By the way this is my first post here and I love this frappin' board. You all are ripping this guy a new A**!

As of yesterday, BAMA was not finished with their internal investigation, so no decision was immediately forthcoming. That might have changed today, I don't know... but that was my understanding.

Also, welcome to the board! :)

I should just let it be but I just became aware of some related stuff that could be the root of talk about a letter of inquiry. It is on Ian Rapoport's "The Rap Sheet" at al.com, B'ham News.
The full link is:

http://blog.al.com/rapsheet/2007/10/status_update.html

Note it is dated Oct. 31 before I made my post but I had not seen it until today.

AL.com isn't a part of the Rivals or Scout network.

I've tried to quit wasting my time with crap on boards and just try reasonable discussions. I see it doesn't work here any better thasn WEN.

Seriously. You come to a Bama board(as an Auburn fan) and post a rumor about a PLOI from the NCAA without a link. You really expected reasonable discussions after that?

Maybe AUnation and RollTideBama aren't the reasons you can't find reasonable discussions. Just sayin'

Even funnier is that you said on WEN in a discussion of the Bama official visit to Indy and the PLOI that "this could be a serious matter."

Why are you afraid to admit that here? Are you just sucking up to the Aubies on WEN?

When did I say the textbook investigation wasn't a serious matter? 5 players are currently suspended because of this. It is a serious matter. If it wasn't serious I doubt Moore would have made the trip to meet with the NCAA.

That has nothing to do with the rumor you posted last night. To help you remember exactly what we are talking about....

But upon returning one Bama official supposedly said the meeting wasn't about the book issue. There are posts on some premium boards (Rivals and Scout) by some usually reliable posters that Bama got a PLOI before the Indy trip.

You clearly stated the Bama meeting wasn't about the book issue. That is the rumor at hand. Nothing I responded to at AUN has ANYTHING to do with the rumor you posted here.

I'm still looking for the information your "Bama friend" found last night on Rivals or Scout.

That's good. You clearly need something constructive to keep you occupied. :D
Well, you have clearly demonstrated that YOU are unwilling or unable to produce the information YOU asserted was existent.

Why do you continue to return AND post here without providing that information. Afterall, you assured us you were not merely spreading gossip or rumors and asserted you were sincerely wishing to provide FWIW information. Well, if your continued actions are indicative of your motives, you have lied to us.

Is it that the doubts and concerns about your credibility and veracity by many, doubts and concerns you found objectionable, were and are in fact accurate? What actions, other than words of protestation, have you offed to disprove those concerns?

Allow me to ask you some questions. Are you aware of any talks among your Auburn network of friends and fans that there might be some issues evolving regarding Auburn and a current freshman on the football team that was signed out of Mobile last season - and not the one with the grade changing issue from earlier? Is there any talk among that network that Florida State University - along with another SEC school, has shared physical evidence with the NCAA regarding a series of negotiable instruments exchanging hands between representatives of the player and representatives of Auburn? I did NOT read this on a Rivals or Scout forum, nor did anyone tell me about it there. But I have been made aware of just such a situation.

Allow me to conclude with this. There is a new attitude in Tuscaloosa about how many schools have tried to hamstring Alabama off-the-field. No longer is there the attitude in Tuscaloosa of "let's go along to get along.' No longer will tigers and dogs be allowed to roam the jungles without opposition or rebelous people who volunteer to be the eyes-and-ears of all things evil without fear of their own actions being confronted. There are some other schools that will soon regret they allowed their fear and hatred and envy dictate their actions. Some of the events of this last week just might be part of that new approach. Time will tell I guess. Take all that FWIW - or merely assume it to be gossip and rumor at your peril.

I heard Cecil Hurt on Finebaum last night, and he had his usual good sense observations. Finebaum asked him what his take was on Mal Moore's visit to Indianapolis. Cecil said that he thought it was just to brief the NCAA on the scope of the textbook matter, and he had no information that would make him think otherwise.

Surely the Barner doesn't think he is better informed on this matter than Cecil Hurt.

Cecil is (in this day of Saban) much more plugged in than almost anyone. If he says it is nothing else, it is nothing else.
