Mississippi, yes. It's my understanding it had to do with what his guidance counselor told him versus what he had actually completed (core classes.) It's been over a month since this came up ... want to say it was a half of a credit. Think Zo back in Shula's tenure.

Glad to see he is cleared. I am anxious to see how he does on the DL. He is listed at 6'7". Of particular interest to me will be to see how he deals with keeping leverage against the OL that will typically try and get low and use his height against him. Obviously with his size he will command some attention but technique will be the deciding factor. I suppose at worst he can "squat in the hole" for a few plays and give someone else a breather.

I'm remembering a certain Bama D-lineman back from my childhood. Jon Hand. 6'-7" and close to 300 lbs. I dont remember him struggling too much even in the NFL.

My comments weren't meant as criticism of Davis or even an expectation of him having problems. Just meant that I would be interested in seeing how his technique is starting out as a freshman

Heck even if the OL does stand him up on some plays he should be able to knock some passes down :hurray::bman:
