Dude go away.
Yeah, that’s what I figured you would say. Birdbrain, I’ll tell you what; I’m not going to get my stick out and beat you black and blue and leave you drolling in the corner again, because every time I do that on here I end up in trouble. Plus, we’re celebrating #16. But I will say this, you are one of the most disgusting people I have ever encountered in my life. And that’s saying something, because I have arrested several...over the years.

Now go arrest yourself or play with yourself or do something else besides bother me.

Alabama Football Wins 2018 National Championship in Overtime Thriller against Georgia, 26-23

ATLANTA – The No. 4-ranked University of Alabama football team defeated No. 3-ranked Georgia, 26-23, on a game-winning 41-yard touchdown pass from freshman Tua Tagovailoa to freshman wide receiver DeVonta Smith Monday night in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Crimson Tide (13-1) won its 17th national championship after edging the Bulldogs (13-2) in just the fourth College Football Playoff. Alabama head coach Nick Saban improves to 12-0 against his former assistants with the win over UGA's Kirby Smart.

Tagovailoa was named Offensive MVP after going 14-of-24 for 166 yards, three scores through the air and 27 yards on the ground, all in the second half.

On defense, junior Da'Ron Payne was named the Defensive MVP with six tackles in the game. Sophomore linebacker Mack Wilson led the team with 12 tackles, including two tackles-for-loss. Senior defensive back Tony Brown and sophomore defensive lineman Raekwon Davis each had an interception in the win.

Georgia received the ball first in the overtime period, starting at the UA 25-yard line. The Alabama defense pushed Georgia back nine yards to the 34-yard line, where the Bulldogs netted a 51-yard field goal attempt to go up 23-20.

Lining up on the UGA 25-yard line in Alabama's first overtime possession, Tagovailoa was sacked on the first play for a 16-yard loss to the 41-yard line. On the next play from scrimmage, Tagovailoa found Smith sprinting down the field for a 41-yard touchdown reception to give Alabama the 26-23 win in thrilling fashion.

While offense finished the game, the Tide's defense got things started. Just three plays into Georgia's opening drive, freshman quarterback Jake Fromm threw the ball deep down field where senior defensive back Tony Brown ripped the ball out of the intended receiver's hands for the interception, setting up the Tide offense at its own 36-yard line.

Alabama drove the ball down to the UGA 17-yard line to attempt a 35-yard field goal, when a false-start penalty back the ball up to the UGA 22-yard line for a 40-yard try. Senior placekicker Andy Pappanastos pushed the kick wide to keep the game scoreless with 9:54 left in the opening quarter.

The two sides traded three-and-outs before Georgia took over at its own 26-yard line and drove 55 yards on 14 plays to set up a 41-yard field goal to put the Bulldogs up 3-0 with 14:14 left to go in the first half. The field goal marked only the third time this season that Alabama allowed its opponents to score the first points of the game.

After an Alabama three-and-out, the Bulldogs started at its own 20-yard line before putting together another lengthy drive, going 70 yards on 13 plays to set up a 27-yard field goal, extending the Bulldogs lead to 6-0 with 7:33 left in the half.

The Tide tried to get back on track on the following possession, when Hurts scrambled for 31 yards on the first play of the drive to the UGA 44-yard line. However, the drive stalled and Alabama punted for the third-straight time.

Both sides again traded punts before Georgia put together a scoring drive just before the half, amassing 69 yards on nine plays in just 1:12 to go up 13-0 following a one-yard touchdown run with just seven seconds left in the first half of play.

The Tide began the second half with freshman Tua Tagovailoa in at quarterback. Alabama and Georgia traded three-and-out possessions to open the half.

On the next Crimson Tide drive, UA faced a third-and-seven from its own 47-yard line when Tagovailoa escaped multiple UGA defenders in the backfield and scrambled for nine yards to keep the drive alive. The Tide capitalized with Tagovailoa completing four-straight passes, including a six-yard touchdown pass to freshman Henry Ruggs III, capping a seven-play 56-yard scoring drive. Pappanastos' extra point made it 13-7 with 8:52 left in the third quarter.

Georgia quickly responded with an 80-yard touchdown pass to put the Bulldogs up 20-7 with 6:52 remaining in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs continued to gain momentum when Tagovailoa threw an interception to a leaping Georgia defender at the UA 39-yard line.

Alabama got the ball right back when on the next play from scrimmage, Fromm threw a pass that was tipped up into the air and into the hands of sophomore defensive lineman Raekwon Davis who galloped 19 yards to the UGA 40-yard line.

The Tide capitalized on the Georgia turnover, setting up a 43-yard Pappanastos field goal to cut the deficit to 20-10 with 5:15 remaining in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs punted twice, while the Tide came up empty on one drive before UA took over at its own 17-yard line. Freshman running back Najee Harris provided a spark off the bench with a 16-yard scamper to begin the drive, followed by a 35-yard run two plays later to put the Tide within striking distance at the UGA 14-yard line. Four plays later, Pappanastos split the uprights from 30 yards out to cap an eight-play, 71-yard drive and cut the Georgia lead to 20-13 with 9:24 left in the game.

Alabama then came up with a big stop on defense, stuffing Georgia on a third-and-two to force a three-and-out.

The Tide took over on its own 34-yard line with 7:10 remaining in the game. Tagovailoa drove the Tide down the field where the offense was faced with a fourth-and-four from the UGA seven-yard line. The true freshman scrambled around in the backfield before finding junior wide receiver Calvin Ridley in the end zone for the seven-yard touchdown. Pappanastos' extra point tied the game at 20-20 with 3:56 left in the game.

After a Georgia three-and-out, Alabama took over on its own 35-yard line with 2:55 left in the game. A heavy dose of Harris and Tagovailoa brought the ball down to the UGA 17-yard line to set up Pappanastos for a potential game-winning 36-yard field goal with three seconds on the clock. Pappanastos missed the field goal to send the game into overtime.

ATLANTA — Alabama has another championship and perhaps a new quarterback as well.
Entering the game to start the second half, true freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led No. 4 Alabama to a comeback for the ages, rallying the Crimson Tide to a 26-23 overtime victory over No. 3 Georgia in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The win gives Alabama 17 national championships and hands head coach Nick Saban his sixth national title, tying him with legendary Crimson Tide head coach Paul ā€œBearā€ Bryant for most all time.
However, the story Monday night was Tagovailoa.
The dynamic playmaker completed 14 of 24 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. No pass was a big as the 41-yard game-winning touchdown he flung to fellow freshman DeVonta Smith on second-and-26 in overtime. Before that, Tagovailoa fired a 7-yard touchdown strike to receiver Calvin Ridley to tie the game at 20 on fourth-and-4 with 3:49 remaining.
Tagovailoa almost led Alabama to a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation. However, kicker Andy Pappanastos’ 36-yard kick sailed wide left. That didn’t matter as Alabama rebounded in the extra period to pull out the win.
Tagovailoa provided the shot in the arm Alabama needed after starter Jalen Hurts completed just 3 of 8 passes for 21 yards while going 0-for-3 on third down in the first half. Tagovailoa led Alabama to a touchdown early in the second half, finding fellow freshman Henry Ruggs III for a 6-yard score. The touchdown was set up by a miraculous escape in the pocket four plays earlier as Tagovailoa bounced away from a would-be sack before reversing the field for a 9-yard run on third-and-7.
Tagovailoa was not the only freshman to shine in the game. Alabama running back Najee Harris led the Crimson Tide with 64 yards on six carries with all his touches coming in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm completed 16 of 32 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.
Here are some notes from Monday night’s national championship game:

Kassna Daniels didn’t pick sides, instead sporting a homemade shirt representing both of her boys. The proud mother sat in the stands and cheered on both Alabama and Georgia as Calvin and Riley Ridley competed against each other on the field.
Ultimately Calvin and the Crimson Tide had the last laugh. Although, it was Riley, the younger of the two, who put up the best stats. The Georgia receiver led the Bulldogs with a game-high six receptions for 82 yards. Meanwhile, Calvin tallied a team-high four receptions for 32 yards and the game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The touchdown was Calvin’s was his fourth of the season and 18th of his career. That moved him into a tie with Dennis Homan (1965-67) for second place on the Alabama career touchdown receptions list. Amari Cooper (2012-14) is the UA career leader with 31 scoring catches. Calvin, a junior, has recorded a reception in all 44 games of his Alabama career.
Following the game, the two brothers met on the field and exchanged jerseys.

Sony Michel bounced off a defender, dashed past a few more and tight-roped the right sideline to pick up a back-breaking third down conversion and set up Georgia’s first score of the game. The play came after Alabama cornerback Anthony Averett sacked Fromm at the Georgia 48-yard line to set up a third-and-20. Michel’s fancy footwork on the sidelines ultimately led to a field goal, but it helped Georgia pick up momentum moving forward.
Michel finished the game with 98 yards on 14 carries, an average of 7 yards per carry. The senior completely outshined his fellow running back Nick Chubb, who was held to 25 yards on 18 carries. Heading into the game Alabama led the nation in run defense, holding opponents to 91.77 yards per game. Georgia ran for 133 yards on 45 carries Monday night.

With a 6-yard run up the middle in the third quarter, Alabama running back Damien Harris passed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground for the second straight season. Harris is the first Alabama back to rush for 1,000 or more yards in back-to-back seasons since T.J. Yeldon did so from 2012-13.
Harris has rushed for 17 yards on just carries to finish with an even 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. It marked the ninth time Alabama has recorded a 1,000-yard rusher under Saban.

With the win, Alabama’s senior class improved its four-year record 53-5, the most wins by any class in NCAA history. Over the past four years, the Crimson Tide has won two national championships, three SEC Championships and four appearances in the College Football Playoff. The 53 wins surpass the 51 Alabama’s 2016 class posted from 2013-16.
Senior linebacker Rashaan Evans finished with 8 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss Monday night. Cornerback Anthony Averett also had a nice final game, tallying six tackles, including a sack and two tackles for a loss to go with a pass breakup.
Evans and senior punter JK Scott both appeared in the seventh College Football Playoff game of their careers. The two are the only Alabama players to participate in every one of the Tide’s CFP games since the inception of the playoff in 2014 and the only four-year players from any school in the history of the playoff.
Last week, Evans said he was determined to finish his career with a win not only for himself and the rest of the seniors but also for the seniors on last year’s team who were unable to walk off the field for a final time with a victory.
The Crimson Tide did just that, not only capping off its redemption season but also cementing this year’s team as one of the best in Alabama history.

Five Takeaways: Alabama’s Dynasty Continues

1. Nick Saban proved he’s the greatest

If there was every a doubt, Nick Saban reinforced that he is the king of college football and with this championship tonight, he has now won six National Championships tying him with Bear Bryant. Following the game, Saban was asked about being compared to Bear Bryant, he said he didn’t care and maybe he doesn’t, but college football cares, and we know the importance of his role at the University of Alabama. While he already has a statue outside of Bryant-Denny, maybe he should have another or Alabama should add another wing to the Paul Bear Bryant Museum that features Saban. Saban is a living legend, we should all soak this up while we can.

2. Change at quarterback
Alabama went into the half trailing Georgia 13-0. Something had to be changed and everyone knew what needed to change in order for Alabama to have a shot. Up to the half, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts simply was not getting the job done. He was 3 for 8 passing for just 21-yards and looked as though he was rattled, shaken, done. Enter Freshman Tua Tagovailoa, a fan favorite that reeled off a play at the 10:35 mark where he reversed field and picked up a key first down. It was on. Tagovailoa finished the game 14 of 24 passing for 166-yards with three touchdowns and one interception. The pass that Tagovailoa threw to DeVonta Smith in overtime looked like an angel flying through the air with wings.

3. Defense wins Championships
Alabama’s defense was on the field tonight for 33:43 and for the most of the first half, they had to bail out the offense time and time again. Mack Wilson recorded 12 total tackles on the night (7 solos), Rashaan Evans had 8 tackles, Terrell Lewis recorded 6 tackles, Tony Brown a key interception early on, and when push came to shove in the final minutes of overtime: There was Alabama’s defense forcing a field goal, which would give Alabama’s offense one final opportunity to win the game. This team was built on defense and while Sony Michel and Nick Chubb entered the season as two 1,000-yard rushers, they were held to a combined 123-yards and no touchdowns.

4. Freshmen
If you think Alabama’s strong hold over college football is about to end. Guess again. In crunch time tonight, Alabama’s freshman class rose the elite level and proved they are capable of carrying the dynasty torch. Tua Tagovailoa, should no doubt be dubbed next year’s quarterback was 14 of 24 for 166-yards with 3 touchdowns, Najee Harris led the team in rushing with 6 carries for 64-yards and a longest of 35-yards, Henery Ruggs caught for three receptions for 29-yards and a touchdown, DeVonta Smith caught the game winning touchdown from 41-yards out, and Alex Leatherwood who played excellent tonight. This just highlights guys that balled out tonight, remember that Dylan Moses, LaBryan Ray, Jedrick Wills, also contributed this season. Alabama is not going anywhere.

5. Alabama’s Dynasty is still rollin
Alabama has won National Championships in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, and just won the 2017 National Title. Alabama has reached the National Title game in three consecutive seasons, Alabama has a record of 40-3 over the last three seasons, and Alabama is 131-20 under Nick Saban since 2007. Assistant coaches and NFL Players continue to come and go from the roster, but as long as Saban as at the helm, Alabama’s dynasty on college football lives on.
