If Ohio State or TCU wins, we will be in. I still for the life of me cannot see them putting a team that got drilled by Oklahoma and Iowa in the playoff. JT Barrett has been up and down and Ohio State has not looked like the team the country expected. Giving up 55 points to Iowa and 31 at home to Oklahoma is not a playoff resume, I don't care what they did to Penn State and Michigan State, or even a crappy Michigan team. Alabama alteast killed the teams we were supposed to and fought to beat those ranked teams we did play. Let's not forget, as awful as we played and as awful as folks hae said we looked, we still led Auburn late into the third quarter, so we were in it till the final minutes of the game, which cannot be said about Ohio State and Iowa or even Georgia and Auburn. Just think, we lost by twelve whole points playing the worst game in the Saban era against the #6 team, disregarding the 2007 season.
One thing I don't understand is how a late season loss is worse than a beginning or middle of the season loss? Is there an honest difference if Clemson lost last weekend to Syracuse or a month ago? Is there a difference in Ohio State giving up 55 points and losing to Iowa last weekend or two months ago? Not at all, because they are all losses. The committee has to consider these instances, because it doesn't matter when it happened, losing to Syracuse and Iowa will never match up as well as a loss to Auburn when holding side by side. Also, if our only blemish is to a playoff team and Conference Champion, then there is no difference than when Alabama played LSU years back for the Championship. No way Ohio State can hold up to that.
