Saying its not them, its us. We didn't execute is a kin to saying that the only reason we lost was because they scored more points.
Who were they talking to? Women's Home Journal? Anyone remotely familiar to football knows that the way to win is to keep the opponent from doing what they want to do.
I wish reporters would follow up statements like that with calling out the obvious; Is that what a defense is supposed to do, to keep you from executing?
