🏈 GAME THREAD Alabama beats Florida to win 28th SEC championship (7th w/ Saban)

I'd really like to see these kickoffs go in the back of the end zone. I know @TerryP disagrees with me but still...
They only had one return last night worth noting; the first kick that gave them starting field position at the UF 27. The next kick was at the UF 21, followd by five touchbacks. Their kick return team on kickoffs didn't have a bearing on the game.

I found something interesting about the kickoffs, early on seemed like UF wanted to challenge and make some plays in the kicking game but then for some odd reason Mullen decided to play it safe and fair catch. Maybe the kicks were very high or he did not want to make a mistake. Not sure which.

On the flip side, did anyone find it odd that we have a TE returning kick offs? Puzzling.

I agree. On the last kick they actually returned, did you see the collision to the returner's left? I've got to go back and see it again. Our cover guy annihilated the blocker.

Billingsley has breakaway speed, he's a hybrid TE/WR in my view. He's also strong enough to push and get a few extra yards if the return clogs.
