Lots, lots of turnovers by both teams. Right now Bama is up 15 - 8. If Bama could take care of the ball better, they could be up double digits.

The talking heads are saying Lunardi now has them as part of the first four out.

I loved watching Bowers throw the ball off the backboard and noone else touched it.....but the ref standing 4 ft from it when it happened looked back to a ref at almost halfcourt and let him make the call to give the ball back to Auburn. That charge on Retin was one of the most baffling calls ive seen all season

We don't deserve to be in the tournament. Sure, a few unfair BS calls, but we can't hit a free throw or shot like most of the year. We aren't exciting to watch, so we lost all of our cache by losing to Mississippi State.

If we don't get into the dance, there will be worse teams who do get in. Still in our power. Crap games like this do happen. The secret is keeping your composure and winning even when you aren't playing your best. Until our talent level gets significantly higher we will see a lot of grinders like this.

I think we have out performed our talent but we arent very good right now and teams have the book on us. On ball pressure gives us problems, Riley Norris is only a threat at the three point line as a catch and shoot guy so just run him off the line and make him create and it shuts him down. We have almost zero interior presence offensively and we aren't a good rebounding team. So people are living with Retin scoring by driving and shutting down everyone else. People aren't letting us run out and are forcing us to beat them in the half court as a one trick pony.

We don't really have any other options and because of that our offense has gone stagnant. We will get drummed if we make it to the tourney unless someone else steps up and lights a fire. We play ok on the defensive end but we have liabilities that hurt us there too. Kessens, Hale, edwards are all poor team defenders and kill us when they are out there. Coleman is just short but he is at least in the right spot most of the time.

Shannon Hale and edwards don't even look like they are trying sometimes. Pisses me off.

Overall, this team and coach Avery have done a good job this year. People are just figuring them out a little more and I am afraid that we don't have enough talent to overcome it.

Personally, this team has won a few more games that I expected at the beginning of the year. I, like @Che Boludo said, think an NIT bid is more valuable to us in the long-run than an NCAA bid. In the NIT, we have a real chance to play several games and if we catch a break, maybe go deeper. IMO, in the NCAA, we play one game, two tops.
