•WBB opens with win over LSU ~ •MBB opens against Ole Miss, Thursday night.

Defense leads the way for Coach Curry's Tide squad with an impressive win over LSU, 62-45. Up next for the Tide ... a trip to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday.

The men begin their SEC slate on Thursday as well. Coach Johnson's team travels to Oxford for a Thursday night game as well.

I don't expect us to keep winning as we hit some better competition but the guys are playing with a lot of effort which definitely makes them fun to watch.

We just don't have much size or depth. Texas A&m, Kentucky , Georiga, Arkansas have tremendous size up top and out wide to go with talented big guys down low. Hope we can over come it with hustle.

Any news on Terrance Ferguson? So far it looks like Alabama's right on the verge of being up there with where Wimp had us. Fundementals seem to be so much better than in prior years. Talent wise, we just need to come across and develop a few more top tier players

Ferguson can't sign right now as the early signing period for basketball is over.

So far I see Kentucky on top -nothing new there- then a second group of South Carolina, aTM, Vandy, then a group of moderately good teams which is the other 10. LSU has the atlent to play with anyone, but for now it is not converting to wins on the court.

It's a bit disappointing how the SEC scheduled Bama's game with UK. When it was announced, it was known students wouldn't be on campus. Now, with the football team in AZ, there won't be a lot of media there covering the game either.
