He was C-O-L-D! Even the one he made was sorta ugly. He decided to come back to UA and I think Oats is sincere in his promise to get him opportunities, but he's going to have to make the most of them... didn't today. I will say I was really pleased with how well Davison played, Gurley too even though his shots didn't fall. Ellis is going to be the hard hat winner more of then than not with Herb gone... a perfect fit for this team.
You have a team making .800+ from the charity stripe it leads to wins more often than not. I want to say they were 9-1 last season when shooting that percentage from the line.
From the limited perspective the Insta feed provided I was left with more of an impression that points off of turnovers is what kept the team in the game with the free throws putting them over the finish line.
Listened to Oats post game and sounded like the D and free throws were really the difference. Horrible shooting night. Even pointed out they probably lose this game his first year but the culture they have built helped them to keep pushing even though they were having a really bad shooting night. Win ugly so to speak.
