🏈 Alabama alumni/fan groups

I am not an alum of the Capstone, but as I hope to move down there and get a job at the school and maybe even get a grad degree there eventually, I hope I can one day say I am an actual alum and not just a sidewalk alum :icon_thumright:

BUT. I am currently in Philly, and when I lived in DC, there was a big Bama alumni/fan group there that met at the Old Dominion Brewhouse for every game. It was a ton of fun. I am trying to find out if a similar group exists here in Philly, but I have come up short. There is an alumni group in Central PA but that's a ways out from here .. I just find it odd that the 5th biggest city in the country wouldn't have a chapter, or even a bar to call home.

I need somewhere to go and watch games and talk Crimson Tide football (in real life)!

Does anyone happen to know of a Philly group?? Or know someone I can talk to about it?

Thank you! Any help at all is appreciated :tennis:

We have one up here in Burlington, Canada starting out nicely. There's me  , a young couple from Tuscaloosa (recently relocated to Canada for work), and another US couple, he's from Baltimore, she's from Tuscaloosa and they live here now. There's actually quite a few Tide fans in our area, but getting Canadians to pool together is tough. We're a more insular people than our friendly neighbours to the south who have a very easy going group mentality.

Just because you're not alum doesn't mean you couldn't start a group yourself. With all the avenues through social media I'd think you could get enough people together to at least get a charter. If I recall correctly, the chapter title requires forty paid members...the one here in Charleston was started by a few of us and not all were alum.
