Someone on here has a shot of him with the back of his shoe on the line. So he was out! Well didn't ! hear Coach Mack saying that same thing after the game? :rolf:
This is funny to me that they are claiming bias, like the whole country except for half the state of Alabama wasn't pulling hard for Georgia?! We had a few calls go the wrong way in that game and the ball spots all night were favorable to the dogs in my opinion.
Najee Harris was clearly onsides and left just as the ball is starting to move.. he is just dead on it.
The Georgia punt blocker was a fraction early as his helmet was in the neutral zone before the ball moved, and our guys rocked in his stance before the snap. So it was either false start or offsides on the punt either way its a do over and the ball is punted again.
the facemask looks awful when you play it in crazy super slowmo but when you look at it in regular speed it is incidental contact and he immediately moves down to the jersey. By the current rule there is no more incidental contact so if it doesn't warrant a personal foul it isn't supposed to be flagged. This one could have been called but by the letter of the law I think they got it right.
Trust me Georgia fans we know how it feels to lose and be upset about a missed call. Without the two noncalls on offensive pass interference we would have won by at least a touchdown. I don't believe any of these calls in the bama/UGA game would have changed the outcome even if called using instant replay.
So take your choke loss for what it is... you choked!...again!!!

Does anyone know how to verify this rule??? I'm pretty sure during the broadcast they said that green turf must be visible between the shoe and white sideline.
I guess by BAMA getting in , the C.F.P. Was against Georgia as well .
Cause you know in 2011 when lesticles seen he had to play BAMA for the championship, he totally regretted saying he would be honored to play BAMA again .
This^ here... As the the Dawg fans gripe about the consistency of good refereeing that are absolutely silent on this matter of the movement of 3 of our players on that punt. As such if the refs actually called it right (which is what they are belaboring) then it would've been dead ball of which they cannot decline. Sooo entirely moot unless it suits an agenda.
Well not entirely moot... It costed a minimum of 10 yards of field position (We got 5 for the off sides), not to mention the negative momentum of a penalty when nothing was going right for us at that point.
But I stand by it... the non-call on the flinching at our OL on the initial FG was bogus. Talk about changing momentum. I think we all knew when they took those pts off the board our kicker was going to shat his pants. Had he made the first one he would've had so much more confidence. Also kicked our O and Jalen in the balls, no payoff for a very good first drive.
I believe it's the Big Tin horn refs getting back at Jawja for beating Nutra Dame and South Carolina beating Meeshigone. Just saying. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

While Herbstreit and Fowler said the procedure penalty was on #82 Smith, it was ACTUALLY #92 Williams that flinched. Correct call!
The one that UGA fans are still beside themselves about is the blocked punt. While they say it wasn't offsides and that it was a false start, fans don't always know the rules! False start carries a dead ball penalty and a re-kick. They didn't lose field position nor did it swing momentum our way. No the rules people!!!

They, obviously, tend forget their own history with Alabama. They were the beneficiary of something all too similar at Bryant Denny when Charlie Peparah intercepted a pass and ran it back to the UGA 15 yard-line late in the game. The interception was called back because of UGA having a false start, dead ball foul. UGA won that day on a late FG. Can't remember the year but I was there (getting old...LOL!)

The D flinched at #92 first!!!! I'm not a rules expert but thought they changed that where they couldn't sit there and purposely flinch until an OL moved.
D had no intention of even rushing he was just trying to cause a False Start.
If they're allowed to do that then by all means, correct call. But the D moving definitely caused #92 to react

Now, why am I asking why this crew wall calling a title game? I'm guessing the B1G has some type of rehab camp for officials because it was his crew that was fired--you get that? Fired!--for poor officiating.
Now, I understand that was a long time ago. I feel it's relevant because the same crew who were in the middle of the controversy about Michigan and Ohio State last season. In other words, bad calls with his crews are...well, habitual.
