šŸˆ AJC breaks down how the refs were against UGA

Ha Ha, I read this and laid down a little truth to the belligerent Dawg fans. I tell you, they are the most belligerent and paranoid fan base I've ever encountered. Nothing is ever legit or real to them.

There is some truth to some of those calls... HOWEVER... I stand by the fact their flinch at Q Williams should have been an offsides penalty and changed the entire make up of the first half.

Also, looked 70/30 that home boy was out of bounds on the 80 yard TD.

A few other questionable things in the first half.

Either way, if only Colt had played.... :rolf:

9/10 Mack gets PF on head push. Sometimes in the biggest games refs reluctant to make call unless heinous? Buggs obvious face mask but sometimes officials don't have angle to see it. Big difference in slow motion and non called penalties aren't reviewable. Najee did seem to get off a fraction early on 4th down TD, again really close/bang bang-probably early but not blatant. Some could argue he just quicker than other players and actually left as ball began to move.:p

The offside on blocked punt was a miss and most fortunate. He got such a good jump I think official just assumed he was over the line of scrimmage. We caught a break.

that non-call facemask that Buggs had, when they showed that slow-mo replay, you could see the facemask grab really good, but the official was behind the players and the grab was on the opposite side so the official couldn't see it. not sure if there was any other official looking at those players specifically. but if they were, they didn't call it either. i know there's a lot going on and most times, as you said, it's "bang bang" and sometimes it's just too quick to see everything going on while it's happening.

and you can't go back and review and then throw a flag for a penalty. at least, that's how it USED to be. not sure if they've changed that rule.

Blocked punt on the offsides call would've been a dead ball procedure and we simply would have backed up 5 yards and re kicked instead of moving up 5 yards.

This, this, this......we had 2 guys flinch/move as the ball was being snapped. Either way, if we move 5 yards forward or 5 yards back, we get the kick off. That blocked punt is a moot point.

@uagrad93 with the touchdown pass that was thrown to win the game, I thought about your story and Homer Smith. A deep ball should never travel more than 42 yards in the air. What used to win ball games, still wins ball games.

Just wanted quick thoughts on this. On that 3rd down early in the game, did Tony Brown actually get into the neutral zone? I personally didn't think so, but I also wouldn't put money on it. Just thought I'd ask and see what y'all thought since Georgia folks keep holding on tight.

Someone on here has a shot of him with the back of his shoe on the line. So he was out! Well didn't ! hear Coach Mack saying that same thing after the game? :rolf:

This^ here... As the the Dawg fans gripe about the consistency of good refereeing that are absolutely silent on this matter of the movement of 3 of our players on that punt. As such if the refs actually called it right (which is what they are belaboring) then it would've been dead ball of which they cannot decline. Sooo entirely moot unless it suits an agenda.
