McCarron Returns to Alabama to Become Head Coach of Birmingham Stallions

The United Football League today announced that former Alabama Crimson Tide three-time national champion and former St. Louis Battlehawks quarterback AJ McCarron has been named head football coach of the Birmingham Stallions.

He's been around some good coaches. It's up to him whether all of his practicing and coaching takes or not. Curious if he's just stepping into the head role with assistants in place, or if he'll need to assemble a staff. Holtz was an offensive guy, so maybe he just plugs in.

I wonder what they pay compared to high school or small college. He may have to scrape & search (ahem) to assemble a staff.
