📝 Aggies continue recruiting with FSU players

I get what he is saying, but Fisher did hire the coaches that were there specifically to coach him in his craft and responsible for teaching him. Ole boy is in the NFL now and simply thinks he's untouchable. He's gotten a big head pretty quick in the NFL. Why would Fisher not capitalize on the talents he recruited and helped become successful?

Within the last couple of weeks I've seen some "Twitter fights" that Brewster was in the middle of...fans and a coach talking smack at each other. It seems like this is going to be second nature with A&M. Hell, O'Neal, a guy Bama was recruiting as a tight end (that signed with A&M) has been talking a lot of crap these last few weeks. Guice called him out the other day for talking so much crap while he's not set foot on the field in collegiate play.

No problem with Ramsey's complaint. I believe I saw a recruiting poster over on volnation with some of Alabama and Georgia's players Pruitt had coached over the years and that was weird enough. Pretty sure Bama DBs aren't interested in helping recruits find their way to Knoxville. Ramsey's image and name associated with Aggie recruiting and College Station are probably just as absurd to him.

So you don't think a coach should be able to use his past players as a badge of honor? All of them are in NFL uniforms, which is the main goal for each and every one of these guys. What's the difference in posting it on Twitter and simply saying it to future recruits, because we know all coaches shout out names of players that have been through their programs. They in part came to school at Florida State because of Fisher and his ability to win and get them to the next level. Guess I don't see a problem with it since there isn't some massive Texas A&M logo and uses Fisher's name instead of the University's. As I said in my post, I can kind of get it, but I also don't see the point in getting all huffy puffy about it.

When Saban was first hired I recall quite a few LSU fans that were upset because he was using some of their players and their NFL careers on the recruiting trail.

I get why Ramsey would take exception to his name and image being used to pull recruits away from Tallahassee and toward College Station. As I'm sure Reuben Foster and Reggie Ragland don't want to be on a Tennessee recruiting poster in anyone's uniform. It may be business to Fisher but it's obviously a lot more personal for the players who went to school there.

And that's why I said a sort of understand, but the coach has just as much right to tout his success with these guys and how he was able to grow them and coach them to success. I get the feeling Mack Wilson would do anything for Coach Pruitt after everything I saw him post on Instagram between Clemson and Georgia. Sure, you don't want Tennessee pulling recruits off Alabama's backs, but Pruitt earned the right to say he coached those guys and got them to paydirt. How many times have we seen a player commit to a coach and not a school?

And as Ramsey so eloquently suggested he played defense and was not coached up by Jimbo. So, you get it and I get it. To each his own.
