🏈 Adam Breneman: "My post-spring playoff prediction ⬇️⬇️"

I'm confused. Texas Tech? Are they good or something? What did I miss?
I looked at this a bit yesterday. I can see two things that they are basing thus upon. One, the amount of money they've spent on facilities and amenities for players...which led to the amount of money they spent in the portal.

Money spent + money spent = people thinking they are going to be good.

Ahh. So, the New York Mets effect. Gotcha. I'll believe it when I see it. I guess it worked for Ohio State last year though.....

They may be able to "buy" a playoff spot. A title? Big12 maybe, national? Meh.

I'd have to look at the teams again to be sure. It seems like out of the sixteen only three have a national title (Big12.)

It's Penn State at OSU this year. . . . . Penn St wins.... yeah, no thanks
OSU: Last season they averaged a tad less than 30 at home, 30 on the road. Very little HFA in conference play in point production. Penn State carried a negative HFA scoring roughly 30 more on the road than at home on the season. I've seen -8.5 all the way down to -3.

I'm not calling it an upset. I am saying they have all the pieces in place.

I get all your analytics. But is the a buffoonery quotient to use for 'Deer in the healights look' from James Franklin?

Well said. But Ogre had Joe Burrow & Co.
Yep. And, as I mentioned earlier, the PSU QB is entering his third year starting. Is he Burrow? No. I can't just dismiss the experience. I haven't looked at the bio's of their WR room. I have read/heard several analysts mention the talent that's in the room. If you look, it's what's been missing with PSU. (The same goes with Clemson this season...been pointing to that for several years now.)

I haven't a clue if these guys are right about how they see the room. It certainly reads like the pieces are in place.

Early opinion: I don't think PSU has the ability to "keep up" in a scoring game. I also don't think we'll see that many scoring games in the B1G. I certainly don't expect the OSU vs PSU game to be a high scoring affair.
