Yes everyone it is that time....Alabama football less than 24 hours away, after a long drought over the summer and super analyzing and breaking down every opponent that we can for the season and it is about to be here. So here are a few things I would like to touch on before the big showdown with MEEECHIGAN.

Keys to game:

1.
I'm sure we have all said this 100+ times and I'll say it once more, CONTAIN DENARD. With new faces on defense it is key for them to keep containment on him; because we all know if he sees one crease, he will break off and show his speed. Another key is to not bite too much on his play action, yes he is a bigger threat at running than throwing, but a defense can get very fooled if a DB comes in to support the run and leave a WR wide open.

2. Maintaining momentum. Grab the momentum early on offense, play stout defense, and maintain the same consistency throughout the game. There is nothing more demoralizing to a team than to get inside their head and "Make Their Ass Quit". Nick Saban cannot stress this enough at halftime if we get a big lead.

3. Time of Possession. What a better way too make sure Denard isn't beating you if he's on the sideline watching. This game should be won in the trenches and with a stacked RB core, 4 of 5 starters on the offensive line, and a less experienced defensive line for Michigan, Alabama should have a big advantage.

Players to watch:

1. Nico Johnson. Replacing Hightower, who was the QB for the defense last year, Nico looks to fill that void as the vocal leader and make sure the defense is set.

2. Deion Belue. JUCO transfer starting CB and his first game will be against #8 Michigan, will be key for him to see how he plays in the option.

3. TJ Yeldon. Freshman RB that switched from Auburn to Alabama at the last minute and exploded onto the scene at the spring game. Look for him to have a big role in Alabama's run game versus Michigan.
