🏈 About $300,000 in Texas no-win BCS items headed for Haiti

I'm glad that a good use was found for that stuff, but it raises a question in my mind. What usually happens to all the merchandise no one wants, such as say an Alabama 2008 SEC championship shirt or Ohio State 2007 NC shirt? Does anyone know?

I've always been interested to know that. I would hope that they end up with people that need the clothing. I remember having a Atlanta Braves World Series pennent when they lost to the Twins in 92 or 93(?). That's the only thing I've ever seen that was apart of a losing team merchandise.

When I was in the army we deployed to Somalia and Haiti. We used to laugh because we would see locals wearing these shirts of the loser of the NBA, MLB, and NFL championships. It was also common to see sprts jersey's that had some error on them.

Reminds me of when my ship pulled into Istanbul in late '83. Me and one of my buddies (a Puerto Rican guy from NYC) grab a taxi to go get something to eat and our taxi driver is wearing an Alabama t shirt. My buddy goes "Damn! Are you going to start telling me how great your football team is?"
