🏈 Aaron Hernandez story...

Him smoking weed didnt turn him into a killer... The fact that this dude has been linked to multiple shootings dating back to Florida in 2007 would be something that should raise eyebrows. Not that hes a pothead.

Are you insane? I watched a documentry the other day that proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Devil's Lettuce causes people to become very violent & lazy. If we would simply make it illegal to possess marijuana, no one would smoke it & there would be no crime in this country! People need to realize that they do not own their bodies & cannot simply do what they want with them.

Why isnt anyone calling for drug testing among the students aspiring to be doctors or lawyers? For the life of me I cant understand why athletes are held to a different standard than the rest of the students, especially those on non-ahtletic scholarships.

lol We watched Reefer Madness in "D.A.R.E." in middle school, ridiculous.

He just got led away from his home in cuffs .. Fun!

And an hour later the Pats released him, bad day for him. This whole story is just mind blowing. Last person seen with the guy, body found less than a mile away from his house, he hires an entire cleaning staff to clean his house from top to bottom the day after the murder, he destroys his security system and cell phone, and refuses to cooperate with the cops. If he actually did it then he is the worst criminal in the history of criminals.

I dont really have a problem with drug testing for the most part, I dont think any type of mind altering substance is something an athlete should be putting in their body and that includes tobacco and alcohol (but thats just my opinion). I have more of a problem with things like the Golfer (or was it gymnast?) that got NCAA sanctions (albeit mild) for washing her car on campus with campus water and being made to pay the school money to reimburse them for the water. Things that are just nuts.

And here I was about to ask if the documentary was in black and white...then it dawned on me there may have been one missing thing in his post:

:sarca:

They officially charged him with 1st Degree Murder and 5 gun related charges. Hernandez's lack of emotion in the courtroom is kinda staggering to me. This whole thing just seems bizarre.

Aaron Hernandez could be the poster boy for a league-wide SEC drug policy (Scarbinsky)

I thought his facial expressions and body language showed downright deffiance and either an egregious lack of acceptance of the magnitude of the situation or a total disregard for it.

This would indicate that our government owns our bodies. Drug testing is a severe violation of one's privacy. If a business wants to conduct a single drug screen prior to hiring an individual (or University before accepting a student) that's up to them as it is their business (or school) to run. Anything further, again, is a violation of one's privacy.
Drug testing for Marijuana imparticular is beyond absurd. Alcohol, crack, meth, et al at least make sense.

^ GIF of Hernandez at the exact moment he finds out he is being arrested; note the dramatic eye roll.

Also, to get back on the main topic, why did he only have a ONE game suspension for MULTIPLE failed drug tests???

Because Florida didn't exactly go with the typical rules on drug testing. They obviously went with the Auburn way, let em fail as many as they want as long as they're a good player.

Apparently he is now being investigated in regards to two 2012 murders .. The plot thickens.

He's indifferent because he knows the case now revolves completely on circumstantial evidence. If history has taught us anything - a NFL star does not go to prison on that these days (see OJ Simpson and Ray Lewis).
