🏈 A very good thing about the Tennessee Game

Bama played poorly in the first half, and it was arguably their worst half of the season. But they weren't trailing at halftime; it was tied 6-6.

Bama came out in the second half and looked inspired. They had the kind of letdown that you worry about a team having, especially a team that has been crushing opponents, in the first half. But they STILL came back and took care of business.

You wouldn't think the Tennessee game would be a trap game, since there is such a heated rivalry between the two teams. But Bama was favored by 30 points against a Tennessee team without their starting qb.

We all know their will be no letdown vs LSU. There is no guarantee Bama will win, but they will be fired up from the opening play.

During the game last night I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't concerned that Bama would return to form in the second half and win it comfortably. At the same time, a part of me was quietly pleased with the fact that the team was facing a bit of adversity knowing that adversity reveals character and would give them something (else) on which to build in the coming two weeks of practice.

I agree with both of you. Alabama is in a better position going into the LSU game after having a tough half of football against Tennessee. I'm convinced that nobody can touch Bama when they are properly motivated. And Nick Saban couldn't have planned a better scenario to use as motivation in preparation for November 5th. Also, it helps that LSU should stay at number one when the BCS in announced later tonight. Everthing is lining up extremely well at this point.
