My field of 'Crimson' clover is in full bloom and I was walking through it last week, trying to take pictures of my honeybees feeding on the clover. I had on a wide brimmed hat with it cinched up tight under my chin with a draw string.
One of the little ladies didn't want her picture taken and dive bombed me on my ear, under the hat. Knowing better than to do so, I slapped her away, which only pissed her off and she returned and brought a couple of her friends with her.
Picture this: I have my iphone in one hand and trying to get the hat off with the other while 'running' through the almost knee deep clover, all the while trying to keep the bees off my face. Of course, at my age, calling it 'running' is stretching the accuracy quite a bit.
But I managed to get out of the clover and to the house without getting stung. When I sat down to see if any of the pictures turned out, I noticed one of my hearing aids was missing. It is somewhere in this field of clover.
I borrowed a metal detector and have swept the area for almost 6 hours and can't find it. Ordered a replacement and expect it to come in today.

While you're looking for the hearing aid, notice what the hail storm of a couple of weeks ago did to the paint on the dragonfly and butterfly.
