🌎 "A Tish best served cold." NY Post.

Married, to her father, on financial forms...too damn funny. Just like the chick in ATL with that trial...throwing stones from glass houses.

So wouldn’t the prosecutor in NY report to her?
She's the state AG. Loan fraud, and bank fraud in general, typically runs through DOJ, so that would be Southern District of NY, and Trump's cleared the decks for this. For better or worse, his dumping of some very principled conservative prosecutors was done with this in mind. On occasion, there might be a parallel action at the state level, but this is federal.

In the realm of DOJ, @TerryP , Russell Laffitte's (Alex Murdaugh's banker) conviction was overturned due to a jury issue, so I was prepared to testify again as an expert witness in his May retrial. Prep was to be next week, but he opted Monday to enter a guilty plea. Good move on his part, the District of South Carolina had him covered. This is justice served.

I've seen the headlines, never bothered to click. I wondered if you were going to be back in the area for this.

This is when I laugh at myself...wondering about another man's plans.

It's just a beer, or two, maybe three, or four, with a shot...and then the fifth (pun intended.)

Would have that meant you got pulled out of retirement? Would you have been paid your normal salary for testifying? Just an odd thought this morning...

the District of South Carolina had him covered.
I had a convo with a guy this morning about this state. It's something I hadn't considered, but it's so true.

In my opinion, Biden doesn't get elected without Clyburn running around behind the scenes. Lyndsey, and his little thing...all behind the scenes.

"Travel" includes mileage, lodging and per diem. Where we'd eat, I'd go in the hole, but it's fair.
I'd also add that, in terms of a stipend, if this were something starting fresh I'd be in line for expert witness fees. Those vary wildly. In this case, I made a commitment to see it through, and because it's the right thing to do and it's a continuation of my official duties, I would just accept the travel expenses.
