🏈 A group of Bama fans buy a billboard in Baton Rouge

That money could have gone to something like the hurricane victims.
On the same note, the money raised for the LSU billboards could have gone directly to the school and educational system which is cash strapped (and that's an understatement.)

HOWEVER...

How people choose to spend their money? None of my business. It's not my money.

That said...

IF I was one to contribute to foolish things like this I'd be giving money to the Hurricane billboard A HELL OF A LOT QUICKER than I would Tide for Toomers (or whatever that was called.)

I think it's a funny and awesome thing to do. This is exactly what makes college football so awesome and better than anything else out there. Yeah, the money could have gone to Hurricane Relief, well, you know what, that money you wasted at the gas station, eating fast food, and absorbing things you don't need could have as well. It's their money, so let them do as they please and don't jump on their butts about it. Don't chastise other people for how they spend their money, because that's none of your business. They worked hard for that money, so who are you or anyone else to tell them it was a bad look and should have donated it themselves? Too many folks have too many things to say about everyone else is one of the problems we have in society today. Just laugh or ignore it and move on.

Yep it is their money and they can spend it freely as they wish. They chose to spend it in a highly public way that was sure to garner attention. They also chose to spend it making what could be construed as a public statement by Alabama fans in general, therefore I think I can call it a stupid awbarnish gimmick and choose to distance myself from it/them. JMO

i can guarantee you., there won't be any 50 points scored on LSU this saturday.
If it's truly the game plan of LSU to sit back and let Tua stay in the pocket...that's a guarantee I wouldn't put money behind.

I was seriously shocked when I heard Greg McElroy yesterday reciting that very gameplan saying that is what he would do if he was game planning against Tua. Marcus Spears was as shocked as I was.

If you honestly think it's that damning of a statement against Alabama, its fans, and the university, have at it. I don't think anyone that has seen it is looking at you today with any less respect than they did the day before. Poisoning a famous tree, I get it, but a billboard? We not allowed to have fun anymore or is life only to be serious 100% of the time?

@BamaFan334 We can agree to disagree on this subject. FTR I let my feelings be known about the free devin billboards also. As a low level player and as a fan I am just not a fan of "smack talk"

I hear you. I wasn't jumping on you or anything, just curious why it got to you so bad.

I'm with you, never been a big smack talker. Competitive as hell, but never talked much trash other than to refs or umpires on bad calls. I don't mind having a good laugh at things like this though, or talking trash to Georgia fans on AJC.com that just never shut up. Sometimes I don't mind letting them know who the real king of the mountain is.
