After reading many of the post a few random questions came to mind.

1. Who is the player(linebacker I believe) that was unable to return in 2008(?) because of a heart condition?

2. I recall at one point we had serious issues with depth at LB, then CNS began stacking this position with talent. Is this a product of his defensive scheme or did we have that big of a problem with LB?

3. Will Kirkpatrick make a contribution this year?

4. Will Star Jackson be used in possible option plays considering his running capabilities?
I know that these are a lot of questions for one post but I am just looking for some generalized answers.

Doe is correct.

2. I recall at one point we had serious issues with depth at LB, then CNS began stacking this position with talent. Is this a product of his defensive scheme or did we have that big of a problem with LB?

Well, we did have a big problem. To be honest, I dont think there is as much depth as people think. We are still relying on freshmen and that will eventually change, but we still need to add some '10 recruits to add quality depth.

3. Will Kirkpatrick make a contribution this year?

It all depends on how quick of a learner he is. There a few CB's with with incredible talent (BJ, Zo), but it depends on how well he can pick up the schemes. My guess, no. He may technically contribute - but nothing significant. He should play a lot in 2010.

4. Will Star Jackson be used in possible option plays considering his running capabilities?

No.

4. Im not sure how Star will be used , but i wouldnt be surprised to see Alabama line up in spread som and run Kirkpatrick out of it

i have seen film of him out of High School on punt returns , kick off returns , and also with him lining up in the spread. The kid is the real deal, may be another Deuce before its over
