Well it is two weeks today that I haul butt down to Tuscaloosa (from Canada) to see my first Tide extravaganza, and have just a few questions for those in-the-know.
I have a hotel booked in Tuscaloosa for game day/night, but thinking of perhaps altering plans and heading back to Birmingham (Holiday Inn airport hotel) right after the game as I will be leaving the next morning anyways. So my questions are....
1. I'm using Birmingham Door-To-Door limo service to and from Tuscaloosa, and wondering when the Uni of Alabama roads around Bryant D open up to thru traffic after a 6:30pm evening game (thus allowing the pick-up on Uni grounds)?
2. The game starts at 6:30. If I were to be picked up in or around the area afterwards, what would be a conservative time frame for it, factoring in the game length, exiting the stadium, etc. I'm thinking 10 - 10:30 to be safe?
I know I know.. goofy questions. But if anyone has even some general intell or advice, it would be great.
Thanks, Cameron.
Also.. I understand that no bags larger than a purse can be brought into the stadium. Is that true? That will seriously F-up any pre-game shopping plans for Tide stuff!!!
