* 2nd team defense is WAY ahead of the 2nd team offense.

* Also, a few players physically stood out to me.

Jerrell Harris
BJ Scott
Mark Barron
Damion Square

* Greg McElroy is way ahead of Jackson and Darrah.

* Maze has a chance to be a nice compliment to Jones.

* Julio is a beast. I hope he makes a ton of plays in the next two years, because he go in the NFL top 5 after his junior season.

Add your thoughts.

i am excited about mcelroy.... the race at qb is an apparent race for 2nd. how is mark ingram doing? that will be a nice one two punch with him and trent richardson. i think that you are right about maze, i think he will compliment julio very well.

Mark practiced (out of the black jersey) this week but Saban chose to hold him out of today's action.

I wasn't shocked, but was pleasantly surprised with the OL on the 1's today. Right now, it looks like they'll need some more work in blitz recognition situations, but overall did a pretty decent job considering the line they were facing.

I was also impressed with Dial and his routes. He's going to be a nice addition to Peek and Smelley.

Dont'a. Do I really need to say anything? He really looked good out there today.

Robby had a fair day as well...thought he got crossed up a few times, but overall seemed to be in position a lot of the time.

I'm going to watch it again, a little more closely, tonight or in the AM.

Yeah no doubt. Our O-line are not world beaters, but they definitely held their own up against one of the best front attacks out there. They will settle down and mesh together better by fall. Can't wait for the Hokies.

Still concerned about the outside of the O-line. I thought the depth started to show up on defense as the backups showed us that there is some talent there. I also thought Watkins and Square looked decent. And while he probably wont be need Julio looked a lot more fluid and comfortable catchign punts and KO's.

I was impressed with what I saw out of Williams with our LB'ers today as well.

Agreed on Julio.

What I saw fromt he QB's today is Greg is MILES ahead of the other two. And Jackson is MILES behind Darrah. I'm now not convinced Jackson is going to be a good QB. Greg impressed me!! That pass for the t.d he made to Julio was stupid sick.

It appeared to me that the coaching staff was using Maze like what Harvin was at Florida. He'll be a good compliment to Julio.

Our running game is going to be nasty this year. When Richardson get son campus I think it'll be the Ingram and Richardson show.

Our defense is going to crazy sick this year. Our weakness, so say the experts secondary was good today and made some good plays.

RTR,

Cory
