Unless he matures and takes it seriously, he will end up just like Russell. Meyer picked him to start because he knew Barrett would handle being the back-up better than Cardale. Meyer didn't want that circus during the season.

He knows he has it made this season if he keeps them happy. You've got to admit, it worked out pretty well last night. We will have to see how it continues to go, but no way Cardale would have been as positive and supportive last night if he was the back-up.

@planomateo He told the reporter that after he came out with the sling on. He got hurt in the 3rd so it wasn't at halftime. But the female reporter made the sideline report saying that he told her he broke it and would have surgery tomorrow. And that Urban dodged a bullet.

I thought it odd to get the update straight from the horse but he's a kid and she walked up and asked him. Strange deal. Unfortunately deal too.
