In-laws flew in Friday, took them to the Panthers/Saints game yesterday, driving back to Florence Thursday to see my folks... Hate that drive. Hopefully we'll catch Atlanta on a slow morning since its the day after Christmas... He's Newburns is good stuff as is Bunyuns. We'll probably only go out once and hit the usual Rosie's Cantina... It's not bad.

Congratulations, Terry. You don't look a day over 58. I *might* play basketball against Terry for money, but watch him at pool. He has a tendency to play full contact billiards.

I had my eighth and last Christmas party Saturday night. I'm done. Technically off until 1/2, but I'll be in the office today bracketed around a quick trip to Montgomery for a funeral. Kids and parents here Christmas Eve and Day, some work on a back patio here and then off to the lake for three days of work there. Year end organizational and financial downtime, take a deep breath, and plunge into 2014.

Charlotte to Florence? There's no good way to get between those towns. I live northwest of Atlanta and have to travel to the Carolinas frequently. I85 in NW GA kills me, semis in both lanes over those hills will back up traffic and make the typical dumb driver a raving lunatic. My son lives in Florence and he's tried several ways to get to us, none of them good.

Terry congrats on the round of 66! That is a great number since it is also my old football number. Newbern's is one of the best catfish restaurants that I have ever eaten at, don't have them in the north. If you are ever in Florence, take Hwy. 72 west going toward Huntsville. It's located about 3-4 miles from downtown. Bunyan's is a local establishment near ECM hospital. I recommend the sandwich or hot dog. You can get either with slaw or hot sauce. Again we don't have BBQ joints in the north either. I only get home once or twice a year so those two stops are a must for me. Rosie's, that Chris mentioned is downtown on Court St. Going toward UNA on the right.

I've shot 70 about a dozen times but this was the first round I've broke that mark and had a round in the 60's. It's been several years since I've played a course three times in a row to get my exact handicap number but I'd guess it's around 3, maybe 4. A lot of those scores have come from taking chances after turning the corner...yesterday I had five birds through eight and started to really tone down any aggressive tendency.
