In my Sugar Bowl preview I wrote earlier this week, I had Alabama winning, 28-20. However, that doesn't mean that the Oklahoma Sooners can't do the impossible and defeat the third-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.*The Sooners could be described as a poor man's Auburn which luckily for them, happens to be the only team that defeated the Tide. Even that defeat, took 4 missed field goals, home field advantage, and the infamous 109 yard FG return for a TD, all of that took place for just a six point loss.*The Sooners best hope for this game depends on whether or not this team will come out like last time they were invited to a BCS Sugar Bowl, falling at the hands of the 13-0 Utah Utes, 31-17. That was Nick Saban's only bowl loss at Alabama, but the situation is very similar. The Tide had lost the SEC Championship game one game away from a National Championship, and fell short to the Florida Gators.
