Weird story with Naas...

I'm told a few years ago he was considered to be the best play in this class. In recruiting rankings, he's fallen from #1 to somewhere in the 40's.

I don't know. I don't follow basketball rankings/recruiting as closely as I do football (or softball for that matter.)

It's my opinion there's a lot more fluidity in basketball recruiting rankings versus football. There isn't more opportunity (scholly's) in D1 basketball vs football. But, the dynamics change; drastically. Consider...

We're looking at a guy who is considered to be a top five guard for football.
And, we're also looking at a guy who can play the 2, or 3, or 4 in some sets. "He's the best 2 in the nation" but he's playing the 3 as a senior?

It seems so ambiguous to me.

Could be. He's your typical wing that Oats wants. Athletic 3&D player with a ton of upside. Says a lot of the right stuff too. Understands the importance of defense.

Scouting report says he has a tendency to rely too heavily on his jump shot, which makes him disappear for stretches at a game. Then needs to add weight (which we know is never an issue with our S&C program).
