Yep! There are still a few places that look like the tornado came through last week.

Sure are. Forest Lake still has open lots and dead trees. Forest Lake Baptist Church still runs Wings of Grace that supports people that were affected.

Stretch in Alberta looked like you had travelled back in time to WW2 and were surveying the bombing of Berlin or London.

Oh, yeah! It was awful!

One year while at UA, my roommates and I rented a house on Prince Ave, which is off Hargrove. My wife and I went to Tuscaloosa a month after the tornadoes for an alum function. She didn't go to UA, so she didn't fully get the horror of what I saw. Even in 2013, I still missed the turn from McFarland onto 15th St. because the landmarks were gone.

I remember going up to T-Town a few weeks later, one of my buddies was at UA at the time and had stupidly stuck his head out the door while the tornado was going down the street, and he took me around to see everything and I was shocked. Looked like a war zone.

It's what brought me to Alabama in the first place (tornado relief efforts).

Being there rebuilding homes and talking to people, and seeing that spirit .. that's how I became a Bama fan.
That how we do it to you Yankees, the same way I hook up with my wife! It that Bama charm! And that my cousin marry her sister too!;) Thank you for come down and helping to rebuild.
