I was a senior in high school. Remember it well. Was a truly sad day across Alabama and across the college football world.

I was in the 6th grade and I still remember a parent coming in and telling our teachers. My teacher was visibly upset and we pestered him to tell us. Needless to say, I was crushed. My dream had been to play for Coach Bryant and when he announced his retirement, I was upset. To here his passing, crushed me!!
