Whipping the #1 Domers? Shoot, it could be a million years in the future and I will still be celebrating that one from beyond the grave.

That was the year the Domers' front 7 was supposed to dominate the Alabama O-line and shut down Lacy. The hype for Notre Dame leading up to that game was IMMENSE! Other than the Bama win, the most priceless part of that game for me was the post-game visage of Holtz compared with his pre-game giddiness. You'd think someone had just dismembered his wife and nailed her body parts to the wall.

My other favorite part was how Manti T'eo was a complete nonfactor .. After all that hype + the fake girlfriend thing, I loved seeing him get trampled by our guys.

The Irish beat unranked BRIGHAM YOUNG by three points... three points ! A f-----g 17-14 victory over BYU. B... Y... U. Other notable BYU losses include Utah, Boise St., and San Jose.

BYU gave up 13 points to WEBER STATE. (that is basically a high school team in Utah (Literally)) ND scored four more points than Weber state Vs BYU. Thats all Im gonna say about that.



The Irish beat unranked Purdue by three points. A 20-17 victory over Purdue... Purdue got destroyed by the Minnesota Golden Gophers (44-28), Penn St.(34-9), Wisconsin (38-14), and Michigan (44-13). Nothing else needs to be said about this.




They narrowly escaped unranked Pittsburgh. (Yes Pittsburgh) It took them three overtimes, and multiple s--t calls in their favor to beat.... PITTSBURGH. A three OT 29 - 26 victory... over Pittsburgh. Unranked Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH got their asses whipped this year by the mighty Youngstown State Penguins (31-17), Cincinnati Bearcats (34-10), Syracuse Orange, Louisville Cardinals (45-35), and the Connecticut Huskies (24-17). Yet they had ND beat with a couple minutes left in the 4th quarter. A s--t Pass interference call, and 3 OT's later the Irish pulled it out. Ridiculous.



They scored 13 points Vs Michigan, and won the game by less than one possession despite several Michigan turnovers. Bama scored 41 points Vs Michigan, and the Bama second team got significant PT during the second half.


The QB Comparison

Completion % - AJ 66% > Golson 58 % That is a considerable difference in comp %.

Passing Yds - AJ 2670 yds > Golson 2135 yds

Passing TD's - AJ 26 > Golson 11 Again this is a considerable difference

Interceptions - AJ has thrown 3 > Golson has thrown 5

AJ won the BCSNCG MVP last year against a much better football team, and a MUCH MUCH better secondary. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>



The Ground Game

Notre Dame does not have a running back near 1000 yards. Alabama has two running backs with 1000 yards.

Notre Dame running backs have scored 9 touchdown all together. Eddie Lacy has scored 16 by himself. Yeldon has scored another 11.

This is ridiculous I am not even going to dig any deeper into this category. Bama >>


Receiving


Notre Dames main receiving threat is their TE, Eifert. He has 44 receptions, and Amari Cooper has 53 receptions. AC >

Alabama has scored almost twice as many points as ND this year in the SEC where teams actually play defense. Bama has scored 505 points in the SEC while ND has scored 321 Vs purdue, navy, BYU, Boston College, etc., etc.,.
