Very happy for Butch. Like most, I enjoying poking fun at the dude during his time in Knoxville, but I'm glad he decided to ride out his buyout in Tuscaloosa. Him smoking cigars after the Tennessee games will always be a good memory. Most importantly, he was very well liked by the staff and players. Things didn't pan out for him in Knoxville, but there are very few right now who can manage that situation. Easy to forget he was a very well respected offensive coach when he took that job and left Cincinnati.

TBH I never hated him like I should have and have done with every other 10rc coach. I’ve just always kind of liked the guy. My brother is a lifelong vile and he would take him back in a heartbeat

sadly he is only 3 years younger than me. I became a UA fan growing up in Alabama. He wasn’t old enough to care. By the time he cared we had moved to middle 10rc and since I hated puke orange so badly out of perversity he adopted them. We literally fought over the game annually. we had one fight so bad when he was around 15 we broke the couch downstairs and he came after me with a stick of firewood. If I hadn’t gotten it away from him he probably would have dented my skull . Dad was so pissed that we broke furniture we had to re-fence 10 acres that I swear didn’t need new fence

Had been a huge Bama fan and supported for over 40 years. Had Bear stuff all over the house. His last 40 years he’d approach Bama fans and bring up negative stuff, constantly. It drove us crazy. Just made no sense. If I’d ever gotten a reason, I would have likely accepted it...

Sorry for your loss brother. My Dad done the 180 just to attempt to yank chains, worked on my two younger brothers but I had the Ol’ Man pegged when I was around 15.
