I'm ready to put this hard fought loss behind us. I just hope we are not beaten up so much that it will affect our gameplan against Miss St. I DO NOT want to get "Croomed" this year. IMHO, I don't think MS is that good of a team. Yes they upset the Barn and yes they upset Kentucky but so what? I think we are a better team and should not dwell on this loss but more so learn from it. We made a lot of mental mistakes in this LSU loss and those mistakes need to be analyzed and corrected for our next game. I think CNS's post-presser underlined those mistakes (with care to the players) but he knows we just missed on opportune moments and didn't execute like we needed to.

So let's not dwell on this loss but rather learn from it and move on. I'm past it...well...that is until I watch the game on CSS at 3:00 today  ...but I'm ready to take it to MS. I want to shove that pigskin down ole Croom's throat. I want to beat them bad enough that they will forget they even beat the Barn or Kentucky.

Let's go Tide!

Well said.

This team needs to recapture their focus, give every effort, be consistently right in the practice, & be hungry for a win...

This game needs to be used as a catapult for the next 3 games...no more excuses, no more loses.

You guys are gonna laugh but I'll tell you flat out that the MSU game scares the heck out of me. I think we're better than them but MSU has been up and down all year and I sure would hate to catch them while they're up and us coming off a heartbreaker with LSU. Just sounds like potential trouble.

You are not the only one worried, trust me. I just hope the team can put the loss behind us, which they should be able to.

I'm sure Saban will have them watching film VERY closey on this LSU game. It will be good for us because there is a lot of room for improvement on coverages that we will need to improve on if we plan to beat the Barn. They will be just as tough as a battle as LSU was no doubt.

I agree, this game worries me also.

I think if anyone can do it, Saban can. It makes me feel a lot better knowing he's at the wheel.

The team needs to forget about Sat. night and focus on Croom. MSU has had a week off and you know want's to get another win over Bama. This will be a physical game as it always is. Bama better get ready for a slobberknocker. If Bama is still hung on the LSU game, we will get beat. Come out and play ball and be have an attitude about it and make the plays, we will have a happy Saturday afternoon and evening.

MSU scares me as well, I've seen many state we are better than MSU. I'd say talent wise both teams are even.

In my opinion the person most responsible for the MSU improvement is MSU (and former Alabama) S&C coach Ben Pollard. I REALLY wish we had hired him when Saban came aboard.

I don't believe that. Alabama is vastly superior when it comes to talent. However, Miss St is playing good football right now. They also have a LOT to play for. If they win, they go bowling. That's enough motivation to provide a lot of problems for an Alabama team that just nearly upset the #3 team in the country.

My thoughts exactly.

Not going to get any respect...recruits, polls, media, fans, etc....losing to Miss St.

I would hope our players remember last year and will have enough motivation to get their heads back on track this week :?:
Also, we seem to play well with the 11:30 game this year.

We're undefeated in 11:30 kick-offs this year. I'll take all the positive omens we can get!

The one thing I have confidence in with Saban at the helm is NOT overlooking any teams. I feel confident with his preparation. He preaches to his players to play every game the same and if we play with the heart we had against LSU we should handle MSU and the rest of our schedule.

ROLL TIDE! Lets put the Dogs on a leash!

Ditto. Even facing #3 LSU I felt we would be prepared. Everygame we have been prepared or made proper adjustments. Imagine the confidence when he has the players he feels we need! Thank God he's not still at LSU. They are not a well coached team and you put somebody like him in charge? They'd be 3 deep with the likes of Glen Dorsey, Chavez Jackson, Early Doucet, Jacob Hester, Matt Flynn...on and on.
