🧑‍🤝‍🧑 / 🏡 2025 - New Years Resolutions? Did you make one in 2024, and keep it?

Okay. I made one 1/1/24 and I didn't break it until the day after Christmas: no volume on my cell phone. I broke it Thursday morning so I could hear a notification from CVS that my prescription was ready. As it ended up, I didn't hear it anyway. They said it would be ready at 11, I called again at 10:30..

So, I'm keeping that one going into this year except it isn't a resolution: it's just the way it is now.

I'm considering one this morning. It will require a lot of discipline. The question I'm asking, "how much time a week, or a day?"

I'd like to write for about an hour a day. I don't know if it's a better goal to think, "five hours a week, but daily."

Considered, but passed to another day and time: an ASE certification. No real end goal in mind there; just to know.

I never make resolutions; I just keep being me. It seems to have worked out so far, lol.
Me also. @TerryP been seeing a TV ad about how long one keep NewYear Resolutions. It's the Friday two week after you make it.

To all our members here I hope you all will have a better 2025 then a 2024.

Turning the ringer/volume off on the phone wasn't hard. I know I looked at my phone less often. I also know I didn't miss, in the least bit, hearing the phone.

I wouldn't even try to make a resolution that "changed me from being me." It's taken half of a century for me to create this world I live in.

This is just like the volume on the phone. It's not changing me, it's just making things easier. The writing? Cathartic
