| MBB/WBB 🏀 2024-25 Pre-season - Tide rolls over Memphis, 96-88, in 2024 Rocket City Classic

We had a similar thread last year, and like it, I will update this one with the movement as it happens and next season's roster takes shape. Obviously, all the players in red that are set to return, won't. And others will be added via the portal. But I'll keep this updated and keep track of it as it all unfolds. As always, let me know of any errors/mistakes.

Also, keep in mind, there are 13 scholarship spots available per season. As of now, Alabama is +2 (15 scholarshipped players), which means at a minimum, 2 of the following will not return.

Yes, unless he veers off course. He has until the end of May to decide. The portal closes for undergrads at the beginning of May.
Ok. Hang on a second. I don't follow the NBA rules closely so here's a question from a "casual."

Last year the NBA combine invitations were sent out in May. Will Sears get an invitation?

IF I'm not mistaken, if he does receive an invitation it extends his "window" for announcing his intentions.

IE: Mark receives an invitation to the combine. The draft is in June (26th and 27th I believe.) IF he attends the combine and draft it puts his deadline for his final announcement at 5PM, the Monday following the draft.

The first "deadline" is still in May but it is contingent on what the NBA decides.

Did not know that. Thanks for sharing.

So, mock draft season is upon us for NBA. Out of all the mock drafts I have seen only The Ringer has Sears on their top 60-70 i kinda think that he should be higher but the guy from ESPN I forget his name is usually pretty good about these and he didn't have him in the 2 round draft so might mean Sears will be back next year.

Yea Cliff Omuryi is also visiting this weekend, I'm hearing we're gonna try to close down on him hard. Wonder if Sears is coming back also...the draft boards haven't been kind to him...could be a hell of a year if it shapes up like that.

They hope it'll get worked out for next weekend. He's visiting Georgetown this weekend.
