šŸˆ 2020 Fall Camp Thread (Final scrimmage of 2020: Saturday afternoon.)

Regardless of this crazy whirlwind, looking forward to ANY Alabama Football related info that comes our way! I know camp updates won't be the same without a viewing period, but some tidbits always sneak out. Please post/add/opine on Fall Camp when you get a chance... RTR

Javon Baker.

Seriously, some good bits on 7 on 7's...just haven't talked football much, have we?

On Baker. Watch his vertical on defensive backs. It's a "Norwood vs LSU" thing with him. Get me?

Jones-Bell...not sure how to say this other than there's a maturity kind of thing going on. Hell of a receiver so far. Mindset thing.

Mac's the guy. Bryce is filling out hitting that 200-205 area. Fall will drop him some. It's a heat/weight thing. Other than that on Bryce, refer back to comments I've made from day one. He is filling the role he was recruited for.

Position battle wise - The 1 spot that stands out is OLB. Wasn't blown away with Chris Allen last year but he was coming off injury, and still got the nod over some younger cats. But in incoming freshman talent there is nuts.

strange the writer listed Barmore with the Des but does not even mention him in the blurb about who plays. IMO Barmore is one of the more interesting folks at that position

There's a few combinations that will make you think if you're an opposing offensive line coach.

Live balls and all...Sanders and Anderson are what they were reported to be.

This was a great class.

Sophser down to 310 from 340. Could be amazing depth inside.

I'm excited to see how the freshmen RBs, including Trey Sanders, look. I thought Jase McClellan is as natural a runner as you can find, but also heard Roydell Williams looked great in summer workouts and maybe was the standout. Everyone expects Trey Sanders to be a stud.

Ronald Williams needs to be a high level SEC CB right off the bat

Dang, is Dickerson better at Center or Guard for us? I felt he did a great job manning the middle last season. I just feel guard may be a step backwards. Am I wrong in that?
Owens was the backup last season for Dickerson at C...and if I recall correctly, he started at C until Brown came back from suspension. He can play both, well. Likely a G in the league, I'd suspect.

Saw too many issues last season to think there isn't a chance to upgrade that whole process.
He graded out really well last season at Center. As I recall, one sack was his fault and we only saw about a half of a dozen pressure situations where would might point to him. Hell, second team All-SEC (AP) at G, second team All-SEC (media) at center.

I believe he did a hell of a job last season especially after they got Brown back.

The Iron Bowl was my lasting memory. Wills was losing his mind over the timing. And it may not have been all his fault... But the inability to simply snap the ball without penalty was the sign of a poor *connection

Something that CNS said subtly stood out to me... The fact that he's not going to discuss any players opting out until they come forward.

Obviously I have no knowledge (@TerryP would be the only one with any insight, and I wouldn't expect him to share), but there could already be a few guys that have or will opt out. What makes that even more believable IMO is that o/u 7.5 in total wins. Strictly speculation on my part, but just because we haven't heard of anyone opting out doesn't mean it's not happening.
