🏈 GAME THREAD 2018 SEC Championship: Jalen Hurts leads Alabama's comeback 35-28

I was on a flight with Emmanuel and Sam Acho (brothers who both played at University of Texas) on their way back from the Fiesta bowl game. Sam (LB) sat in the seat next to me during the flight. We talked about Ohio State and their QB Terrell Pryor. He said that Terrell was so fast for a big QB.

Emmanuel talking about Alabama and Nick Saban not afraid to play Georgia.

That is the balm to soothe a chapped butt.

Glad someone called Kirby out on this. Kirby running his mouth was why I wanted to see Georgia get in so bama could beat them soundly and he would not be able to keep that theme going during the off season, especially while recruiting.

Jacobs wins MVP but I thought Waddle came up the biggest... If you're not giving it to Jalen because he only played a quarter?

Understand it's voted on during the middle of the 4th quarter. Joshua was on IV's prior to the game and still played his ass off. Scored 2 TDs,

I have no issues at all with it. Maybe a different MVP if they vote after the clock strikes zero...

Alabama threw 2 RZ INTs, lost their starting QB, dropped numerous balls, was down by 3 TDs at one point, gets the ball the 1st possession in the 2nd half and goes Pass-Pass-Pass-Punt, wins the game with a starting QB. Not to mention, the passing plays from Jalen, he was looking downfield to throw the ball. Dude killed it! Rewatch Jalen's portion, it's so impressive!

Georgia shit the bed in the 2nd half (see below)

Ok, I'm done posting about this game, here is one last photo (my favorite). I'm done talking about Kirby and Georgia.

Guys! I just want y'all to know that my son and I survived!! That was THE BEST ATMOSPHERE that I have ever witnessed!!!! The joint was jumping!!! How fitting was it for Jalen to come in down 2 TDs to the same team, in the same stadium to replace the man that had replaced you and you get the job done?!! AMAZING!!!
UGA has lost a 13 point lead and the National Championship to a backup QB in January and now lost a 14 point lead (twice) and the SEC Championship to a backup QB to the same team!!!!
BAMA fans had "3rd and Kirby" that seemed to be our haunting at times, mostly just a headache and pain in the ass. Now UGA fans have "2nd and 26 and 4th and 11!" to haunt them for years to come.

By the way @UAgrad93, did we see your beautiful mug on one of the ESPN shows?

Nah! We kept a low profile. We arrived at the H E Holmes Marta Station around 12:30 est and made our way toward the World Congress Center. Our intention was to hit Fanfare but our e-tickets didn't include the Fanfare tickets and I wasn't paying for them. We made our way to the stadium, easy lines for the metal detectors and then thru the ticket scanner kiosk. We walked around inside the dome then grabbed some lunch and even caught the team buses driving in. Made our way to our seats, saw some old friends, and then watched a HELLUVA game. RTR

I'm with you on this. I realize that CNS was just giving respect to UGA but it was a little too much respect, imo, and I wish he hadn't said it. When he first got to Tuscaloosa Saban said he wanted BAMA to be the team that after the game is over, the other team would say "I do not want to play them again". Well he just gave UGA that aura and Kirby, while yes lobbying for the playoffs, did not reciprocate that respect on the same level. They definitely want to play Alabama again.

It veers toward* the idea that they made BAMA's ass quit. Like they don't want any more of UGA. It's something that Smart will use to his advantage on the recruiting front, especially in the closing of this year's class of prospects.

Can’t suck them bullets back in! Have to love with it.

Just perception that is fleeting at best. Kirby will spend a good bit of his time this offseason trying to explain his bonehead coaching style.

Bama is in some rarified air these days with multiple national championships and all the winning we are doing. And frankly, it's not the same sledgehammer approach we took a few years ago. So it may be time for a new slogan anyway.
