šŸ€ 2016 SEC Tournament

Haven't looked this morning, but I expect Florida to be 'out' now. The last 10 minutes of the LSU/Fla game was painful to watch. Those two teams have gotten worse as the season went along. Although LSU held on for the W, consider this - in their last three games they have given up 51, 51 and 62 points in the second half.

@psychojoe I'm left with two thoughts after watching LSU these last few weeks. One, it's given me a greater appreciation for what Cal can do with groups as young as he signs. And two, I watch LSU and think of an uber-talented AAU team—and like most AAU teams, very little coaching involved.

@TerryP I absolutely agree. While I don't care for Coach Cal because he has skated around the edge of the rules for his entire college coaching career, he has proven that he can take talented kids straight out of high school and make a real team out of them.I tip my hat to him for that.

What can you say about LSU. They have a group that added the no. 1 and 11 recruits plus a talented transfer big man to a decent nucleus of returning players and gotten a whole that is less than the sum of its parts. It is a team sport, after all.

Florida has gone south as well. As a first year head coach at UF, White deserves a little slack, but Billy D did not leave the cupboard bare. In Finney-Smith they had a legitimate POTY candidate, yet he seems like an afterthought in their offense.

The commentators said earlier that Moody has a 45" vertical at 5'9"...that's insane.

This guy I went to high school with who never played in organized sports at school was 6'2 and could stand underneath the net flat footed and dunk. He could stand beside a chain link fence and jump over it side ways. I've never seen anything like that from someone who didn't play organized sports.

I'm 6' 4" and back during my day I couldn't jump high enough to slide a piece of paper under my feet unless their was a big mac on the rim. :D
